The lavish pastor is said to have failed to honour court summons prompting the prosecution side to request the court to issue an arrest warrant for the pastor.

During the previous court session, Mondo’s defense lawyers informed the court that Mondo had flown to South Africa for medication purposes and would be returning soon.

The same reason was given to the court during the session on Thursday, February 4th, 2021, which the prosecution did not take in thus asking the court to issue an arrest warrant.

The defence lawyers failed to produce medical forms or any details confirming that Mondo is in South Africa for medication which gave the prosecution an upper hand.

The trial grade one Magistrate, Gladys Kamasanyu in response, issued an arrest warrant for Pastor Mondo indicating that this would forcefully bring him to court.

Pastor Mondo left the country to seek asylum in South Africa after alleging that his life was in danger something that some people have since labelled a stunt.
