Veteran journalist Andrew Mwenda has said that Hon Kyagulanyi Robert alias Bobi Wine of the National Unity Platform didn’t face anything new during the 2021 presidential Elections.
The former presidential candidate Hon Kyagulanyi Robert of National Unity Platform emerged as the first runners up in the highly contested January 14th presidential elections.
Hon Kyagulanyi didn’t agree with the results that the Electoral Commission announced subsequent to the elections and took to the courts of law to challenge President Museveni’s victory.
Andrew Mwenda through a talk show with NBS television, stated that Bobi Wine can’t claim he faced anything new, unusual or unique.
Bobi Wine should know that he can’t change Museveni’s behavior because that is him. But he can change his methods of operation.
The veteran journalist said whatever Bobi Wine has faced Dr.Kiiza Besigye face it and he also went to challenge Museveni’s victory in court.
So Bobi Wine should not expect anything new to happen. Andrew Mwenda also added that it was the best option for Bobi Wine to concede defeat and disavow violence as an instrument of change because this would help him prepare for a success in 2026 elections.
However, Andrew Mwenda said it was also the second best option for Bobi Wine to go to court.
“The second best option was Kyagulanyi to go to court which he did. I hope he will accept the decisions of the court, which might not be in his favor.” the veteran journalist highlighted
