On February 17th, 2021, the European Union delegation led by Ambassador Attilio Pacifici met with the National Resistance Movement’s Secretary General Hon Justin Kasule Lumumba.
In their meeting, the head of delegation of European Union in Uganda Attilio Pacific said that there is a lot of false information circulating and it’s destroying the relationship of EU in Uganda.
“Someone is creating problems between the European Union and the government. There is a lot of false information circulating and this is spoiling our relationship that has existed for the last 45 years. – Head of Delegation of EU in Uganda Attilio Pacific said.
This is after some a lot of information circulating on social media saying the European Union is allying with Hon Robert Kyagulanyi of National Unity Platform to take over government because the winner President Museveni allegedly ‘rigged elections’
NRM General Secretary Kasule Lumumba says the elections were fair and the European Union took part in overseeing the elections like they had agreed.
