NBS Television host Simon Kaggwa Njala has referred to National Unity Platform (NUP) President Kyagulanyi Sentamu’s request to the Chief Justice and two of his colleagues to recuse themselves from his election petition a moral call.
This comes after CJ Owiny-Dollo asked stakeholders in the political arena to resist from intimidating judges and asked NUP’s Kyagulanyi to let the Judiciary do their work in serving justice.
CJ Owiny-Dollo made the remarks in response to NUP’s Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu’s request to three (3) of the nine (9) judges set to preside over the Kyagulanyi Petition to recuse themselves from the case over conflict of interest allegations.

A wide range of journalists including NBS’ Kaggwa Njala believe it would be just moral for the judges pointed out to recuse themselves from the petition if that is what would give the ruling credibility.
According to Njala, for the judges to insist on hearing a case where the public already looks at them with suspicious of bias looks and smells bad.
