We will attend the IPOD summit – DP speaks out

The Opposition Democratic Party has revealed that they are willing to attend the IPOD Summit which is slated for Friday this week, to be chaired by NRM chairman Yoweri Museveni.

During the press conference Mr Okoler Opio, the Party spokesperson says that they will participate in the IPOD Summit.

“ We as Democratic Party we will attend the IPOD summit because it is our idea to have this summit to discuss the current affairs of the country which include the kidnaps, torture and murders of the innocent Ugandans.” DP spokesperson said.

The Democratic Party led by Nobert Mao has been standing as an independent opposition party for a long time however during the 2021 general Elections, DP didn’t manage to raise 15 members of parliament.

Despite Forum Democratic Party (FDC) announcing they will not attend the IPOD Summit, Democratic Party has made up its mind and alternated from FDC saying they ate ready to attend.
