The Minister of Health in Uganda, Dr Jane Ruth Aceng and the Permanent Secretary of the Health Ministry Dr Diana Atwine have today, March 10th, 2021, received their first doses of COVID-19 Vaccination.
This was during the launch of the COVID-19 Vaccination program at Mulago National Referral Hospital, which is scheduled to run from today onwards.
The two went through the entire process which includes registering and signing consent forms after which they received their first dose of the vaccine.
Speaking to the media right after receiving her “jab”, Dr Jane Ruth Aceng told the public that the entire process is smooth and swift and the “jab” isn’t painful at all.
She added that, just like any other Ugandans, was required to carry her National ID and sign a consent form. She will return to the vaccination center to receive her second dose after eight (8) weeks.
