Lukwago Advises Bobi Wine to handover NUp presidency and focus on struggle

Kampala lord mayor and People’s Government (PG) Deputy President Erias Lukwago has advised Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine to step down from National Unity Platform (NUP) leadership and concentrate on ‘liberation struggle.’

Hon Robert Kyagulanyi commonly known as Bobi Wine took over the leadership of National Unity Platform months ago, and steered it through an election, consequently making it the main opposition party looks to be struggling with becoming the president.

Lord Mayor Elias Lukwago said National Unity Platform is bigger than Bobi Wine and he should let another person to lead it while he focuses on the struggle.

Although his party won at least 60 MP seats, Bobi Wine lost the presidential election to incumbent President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni.

Bobi Wine has since pulled his petition from the Supreme Court, taking it to the public court by declaring peaceful protests.
