Tanzania’s only BET Award winner & vocalist Raymond Shaban Mwakyusa alias Rayvanny launched his own record label “Next Level Music” after 6 years under diamond Platnumz’s Wasafi.
Rayvanny has been an active musician in Tanzania since 2011, in 2015 Ray was signed under Diamond Platnumz ‘s WCB Wasafi label and since then he has been considered one of the biggest artists in Tanzania.
In 2017 Rayvanny became the first Tanzanian artist to win a BET Awards and also became the second East African artist after Uganda’s Eddy Kenzo who won the first award in 2015.
Rayvanny has released a number of hit songs under Wasafi which include Kwetu,tetema,Salome,Hmmm, Teamo and many others.
The new record label was launched yesterday at an event that was organized at Mbeya Beach in Tanzania.
Rayvanny’s former boss Diamond Platnumz and many other Wasafi members attended the event.
Rayvanny praised Diamond Platnumz & the entire Wasafi team for giving him a hand when nobody else could.
