President Uhuru Kenyatta directed Kenya to observe a 7 day period of national mourning.
This comes after Magufuli John Pombe was announced dead on March 17th 2021 Wednesday evening.
Tanzania’s vice president Samia Suluhu Hassan said John Pombe Magufuli had heart complications which led to his last breath.
Through NTV Kenyan news, Uhuru Kenyatta said EAC flags are to be flown at half mast at all public buildings and all Kenya’s diplomatic missions abroad during the period,
He noted that the world has lost an illustrious leader whose passion propelled Tanzania forward and on the continental stage, Magufuli was a champion of Pan-Africanism.
