This follows the unfortunate events that occurred last week when six (6) lions where found dead with their and paws hacked off, and their bodies surrounded by dead vultures.

The Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) said in a statement released just after the dead lions were found that it “cannot rule out illegal wildlife trafficking” and announced that an investigation had been launched, with conservationists working with local police at the scene to investigate the matter.
