Latest reports coming from Kamwokya indicate that Record TV, one of the first TV stations in Uganda is set to close its operations in Uganda.
It is said that, the tv station will close on 31st March, 2021 and all the employees have been asked to resign.
Record TV is one of the first TV’s in the Uganda started it’s operation on January 29th 2006 just year younger after NTV Uganda.
They have programs which range from entertainment, politics to religion. However, their programming is dominated by entertainment, soap operas.
The station has nurtured a number of presenters who have grown into great presenters and joined bigger media stations like NTV Uganda and NBS television. One of their biggest export is NBS television’s Douglas Lwanga and DJmarcey who used to host then popular ‘Katogo Mix’
