NUP declares Wednesday a day of prayer and fasting

Oppositional political party National Unity Platform (NUP) has declared 12th May 2021 as the day of prayer and fasting.

The communication was made by NUP spokesperson Joel Senyonyi through his social media handles.
The party, who leader Robert Kyagulanyi is adamant that he won last year’s Presidential elections, is countering president Museveni’s inaguration.

According to Joel Senyonyi, the theme of prayer is to Beseech God to heal Uganda (2Choronicles 7:14) because Museveni is swearing himself in after rigged election, killing, incarcerating, and maiming civilians.

“As NUP, we’ve declared tomorrow a day for prayer and fasting. We will beseech God to heal Uganda (2Choronicles 7:14). As Mr. Museveni swears himself in after a rigged election, killing, incarcerating, and maiming people, NUP leaders will be at NUP offices to pray. You too can pray from wherever you will be” Joel Senyonyi said.

It should be noted that police yesterday came out and said there are some people planning to disrupt Museveni’s inaguration saying his victory was not genuine.
