Bobi Wine aiming at following the footsteps of Lucky Dube and Bob Marley

Former Kyadondo East Mp legislator and NUP principal Robert Ssentamu Kyagulanyi seems like he’s now fully set to revive his music career.

The singer turned politician has been giving minimal time to his musical career to concentrate on his political career. Bobi Wine rose to national political prominence in 2017 after a landslide victory in the by election of Kyadondo East parliamentary seat.

Kyagulanyi went on to shake the government from every branch after his presidential aspirations became a public secret.

In that period the Fire Base CEO released a few songs that did quite well. These included among others Super woman, Kyarenga, Corona alert song, and the latest Katengo.

As music has globally been known to be vehicle for social economic changes, the ghetto gladiator hopes to do the same thing.

Songs evoking socioeconomic and political emotions have been a phenomenon of Bobi Wine’s career. Some of these include ‘Ghetto, Kiwaani, Obululu tebutwawula, Situka, Byekwaso among others.

Now in the latest development, the singer is set to hit studio once again and release a whole album of only liberation and freedom struggle songs.

This album is set to be titled “Freedom” and he is expected to advance his struggle gospel through music as he has always done since time immemorial.

Kyagulanyi expects to have the influence of reggae musical greats such as Jamaican and South African legends Bob Marley and Lucky Dube.

These used music as tool to arouse revolutionary feelings globally and it’s impressive to note that they achieved a great impact.

We shall be updating you on this album.
