NUP supporters mourn the death of their colleague’s father

National Unity Platform supporters and the party president Robert Kyagulanyi commonly known as Bobi Wine are mourning the death of their colleague’s father Pumpah.

Bobi Wine took it to his social media handles saying Mzee Omulangila Kateregga Fredrick who was a father to Phmpah has passed on today in the morning after being admitted to the hospital.

“It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I leart of the passing of mzee Omulangila Kateregga Frederick Ssalongo father to our brother and comrade Kyabaggu Geserwa commonly known as Pympah! Mzee Katerega passed on this morning after being admitted in hospital for over a week.” Bobi Wine posted

It is said that the health conditions of Pympah’s father worsened when his son was taken to Kitalya prison along side Bobi Wine’s election campaign.

Mzee Kateregga Fredrick was captured on camera weeping while at NUP’s offices in Kamwokya requesting President Museveni to release his son.

However days after releasing his son, Mzee Kateregga has passed on

It is said that they didn’t have an interaction because by the time they released Pympah his dad was already in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and couldn’t talk.

“Pympah was one of our comrades who has been illegally kept at Kitalya prison for close to five months. He was only released on Tuesday and immediately rushed to the hospital, only to find that his father was on oxygen. He did not have chance to speak with him, because shortly after, his condition worsened and they took him to ICU.” Bobi Wine noted.

Pympah is not the only one who has lost a relative due to his imprisonment but other NUP supporters like Achleo Kivumbi, Eddie Mutwe and several others have lost relatives too.
