Calling people pigs won’t help anything – Hon. Joel Senyonyi tells Museveni

Nakawa West constituency Member of Parliament and NUP Spokesperson Hon. Joel Senyonyi has come out and asked President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni Tibuhabrwa to stop calling law breakers pigs because it will not help anything.

He made this statement during a political show on NBS Barometer

This came after former Minister of transport and works Gen. Katumba Wamala was attacked on 1st June 2021 by unknown gunmen while he was heading some where and killed his daughter known as Nantongo Brenda and his driver.

Through his twitter official handle, President Museveni came out and informed the world that he is in deep sorrow for the loss of Gen Katumba’s daughter and driver. He even said its sad that Gen Katumba was injured and he promised to follow up and capture the people that attempted to kill Gen. Katumba Wamala he called ‘PIGS’.

Hon Senyonyi said President Museveni has always called law breakers pigs and it ends there. He said even when they killed Hon Abiliga he made such a statement and it ended their.

NUP Spokesperson said its high time President Museveni starts acting than using abusive language that looks to satisfy him but not the people that need justice.

“I am requesting President Museveni to stop calling people pigs because it doesn’t help in anything. Even when other government officials were killed like Hon Abiliga, President Museveni made such a statement and nothing happened. I am telling him to start doing action because people need justice not abusive words” Joel Senyonyi said.

Being from an opposition political party National Unity Platform Hon Joel said is his role to inform the government to straighten the mistakes that are happening and where to put a lot of energy.

He said government should not only look into Gen Katumba’s matter but also the matters of those that were killed during 2020 November riots.
