Covid19 not a joke, Kyambogo University student and lecturer succumb to Covid19

Today morning Kyambogo university second year student and lecturer have breathed their last due to new variant of covid19.

The second year student is known as Doreen Juliet Mirembe and lecturer in department of psychology Sharon Atwine.

According to the statement released by the administration of Kyambogo University second year student Doreen Juliet Mirembe was in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Victoria hospital.

“We are saddened to announce the loss of second year student Doreen Juliet Mirembe who was in ICU due to covid19 and Mrs. Sharon Atwine a lecturer in the department of psychology who has also succumbed to covid19.”

This came one week after Kyambogo university suspended physical lectures due to increased Covid19 cases in both students and administrators.

Kyambogo is not the only school to have had Covid19 cases, President Museveni said more than 200 schools in the country had confirmed cases with in the school premises.

President Museveni yesterday 6th June 2021closed down schools for 42 days as he encouraged E-learning.
