Uganda totally locks down due to covid19

Uganda’s president H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has totally locked down the country due to covid19.

He locked down on 18th June 2021.

Uganda had experienced total lockdown in 2020 March immediately when Covid19 hit the whole world. So this is the second total lockdown in Uganda after the second wave of Covid19 that is said to have originated from India hit Uganda.

President Museveni through his address to the nation locked down totally.

Public transport has been banned for the next 42days except that of patients going to hospitals and with permission from the RDC and Chairman LC1 showing they are sick and only cargo transport.

Even essential workers like doctors, nurses, media personalities have been allowed to move.

Curfew has also been revised and pulled down from 9:00PM to 7:00PM for the next 42 days.

People that work from food markets have been advised to sleep over and government will provide the with mosquito nets to prevent them from getting diseases.
