Vulnerable Ugandans to receive direct money from government

Uganda’s government through Prime Minister has revealed that every vulnerable Ugandan will receive direct money for covid19 lockdown.

The statement was made yesterday on 20th June 20201 by new prime minister and leader of Government Hon Robinah Nabbanja while addressing the press conference.

“Government through the Ministry of Finance will send direct Mobile Money to all vulnerable Ugandans for food during this second wave of covid19 lockdown starting with Monday 21st June 2021” Hon Nabbanja said.

This came after many Ugandans crying to government to help them with food relief or else they die from their rooms because they have nothing to eat.

In the first lockdown of 2020 March, government distributed posho and beans but there was much confusion some people saying they didn’t get posho and others saying they were of poor quality.

Hon Robinah Nabbanja said they don’t want such urguments in this lockdown and they want to make sure the people that are meant to receive the money receive it in time.
