Central Executive Committee has approved National Resistance Movement (NRM) party General secretary and his deputy.
The approvement was made on Wednesday 7th July 2021 at State House Entebbe in presence of NRM party chairperson President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.
According to the press statement released on 8th July 2021, Rt Hon Richard Awany Todwong who was appointed by President Museveni to be the General secretary of NRM was approved by CEC and Hon Rose Namayanja Nsereko as the Deputy General Secretary.
“The 5th meeting of the 4th Central Executive Committee (CEC) held on Wednesday 7th July 2021 at State House Entebbe and presided over by the Party National Chairperson H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni discussed and resolved number of issues that include, The approval of the appointment of Rt Hon. Richard Awanyi Todwong as the Party Secretary General, Hon Rose Namayanja Nsereko (Deputy Secretary General).” The press statement read.
Hon Barbra Nekesa Oundo was also approved as the new National treasurer.
The Press Statement also stated that Hon Rosemary Sseninde was also nominated and approved as the new Director for mobilization, Training and Cardre Development.
Names of the chairpersons, Deputy chairpersons and Members of Parliamentary Standing and Sessional Committees of the 11th Parliament were approved.
“Hon Rosemary Sseninde was also nominated and approved as the new Director for Mobilization, Training and Cardre Development. CEC also approved names of the Chairpersons, Deputy Chairpersons and Members of the Parliamentary Standing and Sessional Committees of the 11TH Parliament.”
