The president of Uganda Musician Association (UMA) singer Cindy Sanyu has said only artists who subscribe to UMA are to receive Covid19 relief fund from government.
She made the statement during an interview with Spark Television
According to Cindy, UMA is the only musician association that is recognized by government and has almost every artist in it both the upcoming and settled artist is found in UMA. So it is easy for the government to find the right people easily.
“Only artists that subscribe to UMA are to receive covid19 relief. We called upon all artists to come and register and the good thing they almost all of them registered and we will go with that.” Cindy said.
Cindy said many people are against UMA but its very strong to serve its people according to their expectations
It should be noted that UMA is the first Musicians association to bring many artists together with a common goal although they have now started splitting and creating other associations.
