Police arrests man for celebrating President Museveni’s death

Police in Luweero district have arrested a man for allegedly celebrating President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni’s death.

The rumor and celebration of President Museveni’s death started on social media and it spread like wild fire to even people who are not on social media f which was not true.

While at the function of the swearing in ceremony of Ministers, President Museveni ordered Police to crack down those people who are announcing him dead and giving out fake news and information.

According to NBS Nile Post Website, on Saturday morning Police arrested a one Peter Ssekyondwa a resident of Luwero who is said to have been part of those announcing and celebrating the death of President Museveni.

According to President Museveni some of those announcing him dead are Ugandans living in Diaspora that don’t even know what is taking place in Uganda.

Social media users need to be careful because Police will easily track them and they will have to be answerable I courts of law.
