Uganda Musician Association has revealed that its going to donate food to its registered members from central region.
The statement was made by the executive committee, of during an interview with NBS Television.
According to Phina Masanyalaze, government has completely failed to help artists yet they have spent one and a half years without making any money. She said artists are going to die of hunger if not helped.
“We as UMA are going to give out food to artists registered in UMA from central region. Government has completely failed to help artists despite spending one and a half years without working and if we don’t help them they will die of hunger.”
UMA executive committee cried out to government and Prime Minister Hon Robinah Nabanja to really help artists.
They said this habbit of helping one artists or one person is not good because the entertainment industry is bigger than one person.
