Withheld PLE results due to malpractice

Uganda National Examination Board (UNEB) has withheld Primary Leaving Examinations ( PLE) results of different schools due to malpractice.

This was done today after PLE results were officially released by the Minister of Education and Sports Janet K Museveni are State House Entebbe.

According to UNEB spokesperson, most of the results withheld are from Rwenzori region, Kasese and Bindibugyo.

“The largest numbers of withheld results are from districts in the Rwenzori region, especially in the districts of Bundibugyo and Kasese. Schools whose results are withheld will be notified through their District Inspectors of Schools.”

However, students whose results are withheld will be granted a fair hearing by the board’s Examinations Security Committee.

“All candidates whose results have been withheld will be accorded a fair hearing by the Board’s Examinations Security Committee. After the hearings are
concluded the Board will publish in the media the list of schools and districts from which results will have been cancelled.”

We shall keep you updated if the list of schools and districts are published.
