The entertainment industry including Musicians, actors, actresses, events promoters have remained under lockdown even after spending almost two years without working.
The statement was made by the president of Uganda Yoweri Kaguta Museveni while addressing the nation at the end of Covid19 second wave 42days lockdown.
According to President Museveni, this is the sector that easily spreads Covid19 because people gather in big numbers something that maybe dangerous to the lives of Ugandans.
H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni advised musicians and other people in the entertainment industry to focus on E-Concerts as we curb the deadly disease Covid19.
“Entertainment industry to remain under lockdown. No live concerts because gather in big numbers and that’s one of the ways this disease can spread so fast. Let these artists focus on E-CONCERTS as we look for ways of saving our people.” President Museveni said.
Although artists have the loudest voice, opening them up to work like they used to work has failed to be hard by the President of Uganda.
It should be noted that Gen Salim Saleh funded one of the biggest E-Concerts that happens on NBS television every Saturday.
