Kawempe North and Making West Members of Parliament Segirinya Muhammad and Allan Sewanyana have been summoned to appear before CID to matters concerning Masaka murders.
The summons were passed through the Speaker of Parliament.
According to the director of Criminal investigations Katto Tumuhimbise, Segirinya and Sewanyana are supposed to appear at Masaka Police station on Monday 6th September 2021 at 1000hrs before D/SSP Moses Taremwa and make a statement in respect of the said investigations.
“The director of Criminal investigations is investigating some murders that took place in Greater Masaka during the month of July and August 2021.”
“This serves as summons for you to appear at Masaka Police station on Monday 6th September 2021 at 1000 hours before D/SSP Taremwa Moses for a statement in respect to the said investigations.” The statement read.
This has happened after Greater Masaka losing more than 27 people in less than people to unknown men who attack homes with pangas.
However, last week AIGP Asan Kasingye promised Masaka people that the matter will be resolved if they cooperate with security and report any suspicion concerning the matters.
