Shocking as it may sound but its true, Kenyan singing boy band Sauti Sol member Chimano has come out to reveal that he’s gay.
The singer revealed his sexual orientation saying that he can’t continue living a lie.
Rumor has always had it how Chimano uses the ‘back door’ although nothing was substantiated.
The news has left social media in Kenya divided with some supporting him but majority crucifying him.
Homosexuality is banned in Kenya with one risking being sent behind bars for a period of 14 years if found guilty.
Majority however always go unpunished as the act is something that is not given much attention due to the circus it attracts from Western countries.
Kenya has a high number of gay people especially on social media who have been coming out in the recent past.
Chimano has been hailed by the LGBTQ’s activist groups for standing out and offering hope to other sodomisers that might be out there fearing to come out.
