Mukono Mucincipality MP Hon Betty Bakireke Nambooze has come out to reveal what happened to singer, Dr Jose Chameleone’s political career.
Its should be recalled that Nambooze was one of the people who welcomed the Leone Island boss to DP.
When she finally left the party to NUP, Chameleone followed her but he was not endorsed for the Kampala Mayoral race.
Chameleone a few months ago returned to the NRM in a highly publicized way.
Nambooze however feels that Chameleone did not return to the government but rather to his profession of singing.
She however thanked him for his contributions to the party during the previous elections.
“I don’t think Chameleone returned to the government, I think he went back to his job of singing. He came and left when he reached his destination. We could not glue ourselves on him. He should have been like Kyagulanyi who came and stuck by us for good. I however want to thank him for his contributions to our political struggles during that time.” Nambooze said.
Chameleone received widespread criticism after his uturn to NRM with many branding him a chameleon just like his name.
