Novelist Kakweza Rukirabashaija has flown to exile few days after being released from jail.

This was confirmed by Canary Mugume through his Twitter platforms.

According to Canary, Kakweza’s lawyer has said he flew through Rwanda and he is heading to Central Europe.

“Novelist Kakwenza Rukirabashaija has fled to exile, through Rwanda, his lawyer Eron Kiiza has confirmed. His destination is not known yet, but close sources to him indicate that he’s headed to Central Europe,”

It should be noted that Kakweza’s case is still in court and he was granted bail on matters of healthy.
