Martha Mukisa reveals why she didn’t beat up fan who touched her sumbie on stage

Upcoming songstress Martha Mukisa has said that the reason she didn’t try to beat up a fan who fingered her as she performed on stage was fear for the worst.

The Neteze singer in a video that surfaced last month was inappropriately touched by an intoxicated fan as she sang.

Martha says that she had to mind her reaction because kicking this fan could have led to worse repercussions.

She could have kicked him in the head injuring him and in worse cases even killing him. Or this man being high could have thrown the bottle he was holding at Martha injuring her.

And being in an audience of drunk people, she had to mind her reaction. She however blamed the events organizers who always get these stages closer to fans which makes them believe that they can do whatever they want and get away with it.

“I really felt bad when this fan touched me to be honest. But then I understood the fan base I was singing for. They were all drunk and this particular fan was holding a big bottle of Uganda Waragi.

The stage being above the fans, I could have kicked this fan but I could have killed him or in retaliation he could have thrown the bottle injuring me. As an artiste you really have to identify the audience you are singing for and react accordingly,” she said.

Martha didn’t copy from Swangz Avenue duo Vinka and Winnie Nwagi who have all had physical altercations with fans. Both these singers have beaten up fans that tried to sexually harass them.
