A social media video has been making rounds on social media showing how two armed robbers attacked a certain supermarket in Mukono.
The incident reportedly happened at a supermarket known as Mukono Spice supermarket. These robbers were two and can be seen entering the supermarket per CCTV footage released.
Further they first attack the security guard of the supermarket who they disarmed and proceed inside where people were put at gun point.
These proceed to give the cashier a backpack and ordered her to put all the cash inside of it and after they made off. The amount of money they made off with is yet unspecified but this incident is said to have happened on the 24th Friday at around 11:30pm.
Its only the cashier that was shot and injured during this robbery.
Police revealed how they are already conducting investigations in regards to this matter.
“The territorial Police at Mukono are investigating an incident of Aggravated Robbery where a cashier at Spice Super Market was shot and wounded by the armed thugs.
The incident happened yesterday the 24th June 2022 at about 11:34 pm when three robbers armed with an AK47 attacked the super market located in Mulago cell, Ntawo Ward in Mukono Municipality
The robbers made away with unspecified amount of money after shooting Sekandi Irene the cashier in back.”
