London based promoter Mama Africa has come out to reply Swangz Avenue singer Winnie Nwagi’s claims that she’s ill mannered.
It should be recalled that Nwagi and Fik Fameica had been booked to perform in London a few days ago and they indeed did.
However, after the show, Nwagi took to a live Instagram video to blast this promoter. She labeled her evil hearted and advised her to avoid beefs with musicians if she wants to prosper in this business.
However, this promoter has now given her side of the story. She said that Nwagi is so ill mannered and village-sh. Mama Africa revealed how the Musawo singer requested for some weed to smoke.
Mama Africa then called one of her friends to bring some of the best weed which he did. Nwagi was then told to go and smoke from outside but refused and smoked from the lounge.
This had Mama Africa charged and the money was debited from her ATM kept with the hotel. She also said that on the day of performance, Nwagi and Fik Fameica were locked inside the hotel room with their phones turned off. She decided to wait for them in the lobby as she didn’t want to ‘kulemesa’ whatever they were doing.
“I want to clarify on what the fool was saying that I disrespected her. Its not true, what happened is that she wanted some weed. I then called one of my friends who is a DJ to deliver the weed. This is because I didn’t want her smoking weed from anywhere as it would harm her. She was then told to go and smoke from outside but due to her ill-manners, she smoked from the hotel lounge breaching the policies.”
“I really paid a lot of money over this damage because when your booking you leave your card there and anything you do inside the hotel off your bill is deducted there. On the day of performance, I called Fik Fameica’s number and it was off. This disorganized our schedule,” she said.
