Musician and presidential advisor Catherine Kusasira has revealed why she didn’t pick up nomination forms for the East African Legislative Assembly Parliamentary seat.
This is after she had assured that she would contest on the 6 slots allocated to NRM. Kusasira however said that although she has all the qualifications, she didn’t think it was the right time.
She was also afraid to lose her job as a presidential advisor yet its the one that has supported throughout the entire time she hasn’t been singing.
She however has hopes that President Museveni might some day appoint her as a minister.
“I didn’t pick the EALA nomination forms although I have all the necessary qualifications. This is because I had to first resign as presidential advisor since I’m a public servant.
I however couldn’t do this as this job has been helping to pay my fees and look after my home in the time I haven’t been singing. But since I’m a very lucky woman, you never know the president might name me a minister some time,” said Kusasira.
She also released a new song titled Mulo. Kusasira believes this song will sell because people can’t get tired of her superstar status.
