Musician Sheebah Karungi is one of the best female artists in the country.
She signed to Team No Sleep (TNS) in 2013 and left the label in December last year after falling out with TNS boss, Jeff Kiwa.
With many people contending that Sheebah is not talented enough, Jeff Kiwa trusted her and built a music “beast” that has since dominated the Ugandan music industry.
NBS Presenter Tuff B who recently criticized Sheebah for being selfish and not using her brains to internalize some issues thinks she should forever be grateful to Jeff Kiwa.
He says that without Jeff Kiwa, Sheebah would be in the slums of Makindye selling waragi.
He built Sheebah’s brand to where it is now. She should forever be grateful for making her a star.
“Jeff Kiwa always stopped Sheebah from doing interviews, he wanted to build her brand. These days, she doesn’t think before talking and it is affecting other stakeholders in the industry. She needs to be grateful to Jeff Kiwa,” Tuff B said.
However, Sheebah thinks people should stop downplaying the work she has done over the years to be where she is.
Sheebah started as a dancer in the defunct Obsessions group but her career remained stagnant until she met Sizzaman who wrote her hit song ” Ice cream” in 2013. She went on to release songs like “Twesana,” “Mummy Yo,” “John Rambo,” “Nakyuka,” and many others.
