The President of Uganda H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni is lined up to make a national televised address about the latest Ebola crisis in the country.
This will be broadcasted on all TVs and radio stations in the country.
Its expected to go down on the 28th of September 2022 at 8pm.
The President won’t talk only about the Ebola scourge but also other issues of national importance.
It should be noted that the Ministry of Health confirmed the outbreak of Ebola last week after a 24 year old man passed away in Mubende last week.
After samples were taken off his body to the Uganda Viral Research Institute (UVRI) for further tests, it was confirmed that he succumbed to the Ebola-Sudan strain.
The Ministry together with it’s partners quickly dispatched a rapid response team to help in surveillance and handling of such cases to prevent an outbreak.
The disease however seems to be gradually spreading according to the Ministry of Health statistics.
There are a number of SOP’s that are already in place to help in curbing the problem.
