Flavia Tumusiime Biography, Career, Family and Networth

Flavia Tumusiime is a Ugandan actress, radio, motivational speaker and television host.

Her career also includes being a  voice-over artist, emcee, vlogger and an author.

Birth

Flavia is 34 years old. She was born on the 11th of February 1988.

She was born to Enoch Tumusiime and Christine Asiimwe as an only child.

Her family hails from the South Western district of Kabale

Education

Flavia went to St Theresa Kisubi for primary school.

She then joined Kitante Hill Secondary School for both her “O” and “A” levels.

After that, Flavia joined Makerere University Business School where she pursued a bachelor’s degree in International Business.

Career

She began her TV career as a teenager on WBS TV in the early 2000s.

Flavia did this program for about 4 years before quitting it.

Flavia also did the K-Files on WBS TV between 2010-12.

From 2011, she started presenting the Guinness football challenge. This was aired on NTV (Uganda) and ITV & KTN (Kenya).

During this same period, Flavia was a VJ on Channel O.

Further, she was also a presenter for Big Brother Africa in 2012.

In 2016, Flavia joined NTV as news anchor of the English bulletin.

She however quit the TV station in 2021 resting her TV career a bit.

For her radio career, she worked at Hot 100 for a brief time before settling at Capital FM.

Flavia took over the mid morning show, AM-PM which she did for a period of 16 years before quitting in August 2022.

Flavia now does the Desert Island Discs program at the Kisementi based radio station which takes place every Sunday.

Flavia has also appeared in a number of Ugandan films such as Kiwani: The Movie, Beneath the Lies, Irreversible regret among others.

She’s also bagged a number of awards from her career such as the
Young Achievers Award for Media and Journalism 2013,
Family Best Dressed Female Media Personality Of The Year – Abryanz Style and Fashion Awards 2015

Best Female Radio Personality – Uganda Entertainment Awards 2016 among others.

Family

She’s married to a fellow journalist, Andrew Kabuura.

The couple tied the knot in 2019 and together they have one child known as Liam Ashaba Kabuura.

The couple in 2020 was rocked by infidelity allegations after Kabuura was vindicated in a cheating scandal.

Nonetheless, the relationship stood past the test and they are still together up to now.

Networth

Her Networth is not so clear but sources place her at an estimate of 300 million shillings.

This has been accumulated via her career, personal businesses and brand ambassadorial deals.
