Oprah Winfrey of Uganda- Parliament thanks Faridah Nakazibwe

Media personality, Faridah Nakazibwe has been appreciated by the Parliament of Uganda for her role in uplifting women in the media fraternity using her platform.

Nakazibwe who anchors Luganda news and presents the Mwasuze Mutya program was thanked for her role on Mwasuze Mutya.

She couldn’t contain her excitement as she took to her social media platforms to show off this achievement.

Faridah further advised her followers to continue helping because they don’t know who is watching out there.

“One of the reasons they gave is… “You have been consistent with and on NTV.” The main reason is that I have used the platform to give other people(no matter the status) chance to share their experiences. Don’t give up. Someone is watching and they’ll officially appreciate.”

Her award had the words “The Parliament of Uganda Appreciates Faridah Nakazibwe. For Your Dedication And Service Made Towards Women Empowerment In The Media Fraternity (Mwasuze Mutya, NTV) written on it.

Nakazibwe has constantly used her program to give a voice to many people out there especially the less privileged who wouldn’t have a voice to air out there views.

She has even been nicknamed the Oprah Winfrey of Uganda due to the real life changing stories told on her on program.
