Ambassador of Uganda to UAE distanes himself from Bobi Wine’s Dubai concert

The Ambassador of Uganda to United Arab Emirates Zaake Kibedi says that he was not aware of Bobi Wine’s fundraising concert that was scheduled in Dubai.

Singer-turned-politician and National Unity Platform leader Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine had his charity freedom concert in Dubai canceled earlier this month.

Bobi Wine said that the concert that was to be staged at the Sharjah Wanderers Sports Club was called off due to political issues.

While on NBS Morning Breeze program on Tuesday morning, Ambassador Kibedi stated that he was not aware of the concert

“I was not aware of the concert but there are procedures thF have to be followed. I didn’t even know that Bobi Wine ever came to UAE. I didn’t get any communication from him.” Said Kibedi.

The concert was meant to raise funds for repatriation of migrant workers in the UAE.

According to Bobi Wine the concert was not only cancelled but he was also arrested.
