Ministry of Education bans visitation Days, leavers parties in schools

Ministry of Education has banned visitation days, leavers’ parties and other non-essential trips for learners in schools.

This came following the confirmation of Ebola among learners.

Ebola broke out in Uganda this year 2022 August in districts of Mubende and Kasanda. However it continued to spread in other nine districts Kampala inclusive.

This week, some cases were confirmed in one of the schools in Kampala and a 12 years old student lost his life.

As one of the measures put in place, Ministry of Education released a press statement yesterday evening revealing that there will be no more visitations in schools.
