Beenie Man on why he didn’t shoot video for collabo with Chameleon

Beenie Man

Jamaican dancehall singer Anthony Moses Davis aka Beenie Man is already in Uganda for a show slated to happen tomorrow 11th November at Lugogo Cricket Oval.

This won’t be the Girls Dem Sugar singer’s first performance in Uganda.

He first performed in the country in 2009 and on that occasion recorded a song with Uganda’s Dr Jose Chameleone.

This was titled ‘How We Go’ and was a massive banger.

However, sadly the song didn’t have a video arising speculations that maybe the two fell out.

While appearing in a press conferenc at Skyz Hotel in Naguru, Beenie Man revealed the reason the video wasn’t shot.

The legendary Jamaican singer said that the song wasn’t his.

He was just featured and there was no way he would ingest energies in promoting a song that wasn’t his.

It was rather Chameleone’s team who had to promote the song because he had his own songs to promote.

Beenie Man however applauded the song saying it was a good one.

“The video wasn’t shot because the song wasn’t mine. It was theirs and I was just featured. I therefore couldn’t put efforts in promoting a song that wasn’t mine when the owners weren’t minding about it. It was however a good song,” said Beenie Man.

He will perform alongside
Nigeria’s Oxlade, South Africa’s Focalistic, as well as Mellow and Sleeazy and Uganda’s Vinka, Azawi and Winnie Nwagi at Lugogo Cricket Oval.
