Veteran singer Sophie Gombya has weighed in on the ongoing controversy surrounding the exhumation of the remains of late singer Paul Kafeero, expressing concern over the deep divisions within the family.

Speaking about the matter, Gombya questioned how the disagreement had escalated to such an extent, suggesting that clearer answers could have been sought through scientific means.
“Why do some women go to the extent of having children and not know their fathers?” she questioned.
She added that conducting DNA tests on all the children involved would have been a more practical approach to establishing paternity and resolving the dispute.
According to Gombya, such tests could help determine biological relationships and potentially settle the ongoing disagreements within the family.
The veteran singer further argued that mothers often know the identity of their children’s biological fathers and suggested that requests for DNA testing usually arise when there is uncertainty regarding parentage.
Her comments come amid continued public debate surrounding the exhumation of Kafeero’s remains, a matter that has sparked widespread discussion among fans, family members, and members of the entertainment industry.
