Social commentator Frank Gashumba has weighed in on the ongoing debate surrounding DNA testing, calling for DNA tests to be made mandatory for every child at birth.

Speaking during a discussion on the trending issue, Gashumba said it is heartbreaking for a man to dedicate years to raising a child, only to later discover that the child is not biologically his. He claimed that in many cases, the truth is allegedly known by the woman’s relatives and close friends, while the man remains unaware.
“What’s even more hurting is that usually the family of the woman knows the truth, and even the close friends of your wife, but only you don’t know the truth,” Gashumba said.
He also shared his views on marriage, saying he has no interest in polygamy. Gashumba explained that he does not believe he could manage multiple relationships and revealed that his late father advised him against marrying more than one wife.
According to Gashumba, his father, who passed away in 2019, married four women but later regretted the decision.
Drawing from that experience, he said he intends to remain with one wife, adding that he even prays never to find himself in a situation where he wants to marry a second woman.
