Former Ugandan model Doreen Kabareebe has been recruited into the United States Army, marking a new chapter in her career.
Kabareebe shared the news on social media, revealing that she has joined at the Specialist (SPC) level and is now preparing for basic military training.
“The hard work starts now, but I know I have what it takes to crush the basic training,” Kabareebe wrote. “May courage and honor guide me and my peers through every step ahead.”
In the U.S. Army, Specialist (SPC) is an E-4 enlisted rank, alongside Corporal. Basic training is the initial phase where recruits learn military culture, values and core skills before moving on to specialised training.
Kabareebe is a Ugandan fashion model, branding coach, philanthropist and entrepreneur. She entered the Miss Uganda competition in 2010 before building a career in modelling and pageantry. She later won the Miss Uganda World International title in 2020 and the Miss World International Woman title in 2022.
She is also the founder of Kabareebe Models for Charity, an initiative focused on supporting women, children and communities in need.
