The pair’s Independence Day programme begins in the afternoon and stretches into the early hours of Saturday, offering fans several opportunities to catch their live sets at different venues.

Their Friday schedule is as follows:

  • 2:00pm: Wabi Sabi Entebbe (Independence Branch)

  • 2:00am: Catwalk Lounge, featuring an Afro House music and dance experience

The performances are part of a wider programme covering the Independence week. The schedule also lists Safari Maze Raggae on October 5, Afrobeeza – Vanquish on October 8 and a family lunch performance at Mezo Nior on October 11 at 2:00pm.

He is also known for creating the Janzi, a harp-like string instrument that has become central to the band’s performances. The group has combined original music with covers and has performed at festivals, weddings, corporate functions and entertainment venues in Uganda.

Janzi Band released its debut album, Eka (Home), in 2017 and has featured on stages including Bayimba, Pearl Rhythm, Milege, Blankets and Wine and Nyege Nyege.
