Musician King Saha has warned Bebe Cool that he expects his hit song Wewe to feature prominently on the annual Bebe Cool List, joking that anything less would not be acceptable.
Saha insists that Wewe deserves to top the list, adding that his name should appear in capital letters to emphasise his contribution to Uganda’s music industry.
Speaking about the list, Saha jokingly claimed that he had taken control of this year’s selection and was allowing Bebe Cool to choose one song to include, while he had already selected Bebe Cool’s Kakebele.
“I control this year’s list and I have allowed him to choose that one to add, and I have also picked Kakebele to be there,” Saha said humorously.
The singer also accused Bebe Cool of being selfish and sometimes failing to give credit to people he believes deserve recognition. He suggested that including both Wewe and Kakebele would help balance things out, with each musician acknowledging the other’s work.
Saha remains confident that his music will dominate the annual compilation, predicting that he could have several songs featured on the list.
“I will top the list. I’m sure I have like six songs there,” he said. The Bebe Cool List is an annual music compilation through which Bebe Cool highlights songs and artistes he considers to have made an impact during the year.
