Singer Karole Kasita has revealed that she first approached fellow musician Sheebah Karungi about collaborating on their song Bukutu three years ago, explaining that the project took time to come together because they kept exchanging song demos before settling on the right one.
Speaking about the collaboration, Karole said the two musicians maintained contact over the years and continued sharing music ideas until they became confident about a particular song last year.
“We got Bukutu at the beginning of this year, but we got the song a long time ago and didn’t release it. It was supposed to come out on my concert date,” Karole explained.
The singer added that although they had settled on the song, their busy schedules affected plans to shoot the music video in time, forcing them to change the initial release plans.
Karole also explained why she remained persistent in seeking a collaboration with Sheebah instead of giving up after their earlier discussions failed to produce a released song.
“Because she was positive every time I approached her,” she said.
