All Ugandans and Nigerians need to cease fire – Pallaso

Ugandan Artist Pius Mayanja alias Pallaso has called for a cease fire between Ugandans and Nigerians.

This comes after a rift broke out following the ill treatment of Nigerian Artists Omah Lay and Tems who were arrested, arraigned before court and remanded to Kitalya Prison shortly after preforming at a brunch in Munyonyo.

The two were accused of defying COVID-19 guidelines that were set by the Ministry of Health in Uganda and the Uganda Police.

A brawl then ensued which saw Ugandan artists including Moses Ssali alias Bebe Cool and Cindy Sanyu land on the receiving end of bitter insults from both Ugandans and Nigerians.

This was followed by Nigerians opening attack on the whole of Uganda which didnot sit well with Ugandans on Twitter (UOT) who paid back the favor in kind, creating a #NigeriaVsUganda hashtag trending on Twitter.

The Timeline was marred with insults from either corners something which prompted Pallaso to call for a cease fire between the two factions of the African people.

Pallaso said that Ugandans and Nigerians are just one people and the two should feel at home wherever they are or visit.

Well, irrespective of what happened between the two countries, we hope that the hatchet is buried real quick and the two nations get back to the friends that they have always been.
