Robert Kyagulanyi, alias Bobi Wine, has revealed his discontent with NBS over the vote counting of the recently concluded Presidential Elections.
Kyagulanyi, who finished second behind incumbent President Museveni, says that conspired with the regime.
The Political Command Centre as they prefer to refer to themselves, on January 14th, created their own tally center and started counting votes.
Kyagulanyi, in a letter seen by this website, adds that NBS lied to Ugandans as they relayed wrong results as they placed Museveni in an early lead hence dampening the spirits of Ugandans.
“NBS lied to the nation that the results being relayed were coming from districts, some of which had not even finished tallying results by the time of the broadcast,” the letter reads in part.
“Every sensible citizen could see that there was a deliberate ploy to create the impression that Gen Museveni was in an early lead, hence putting down the spirits of the citizens who braved the sun and rain to vote for change.
“It is unfortunate that you used your station to conspire with the regime in order to defeat the will of the people of Uganda. You will recall that in many countries, corporations like yours have chosen to side with regime in power against the people in situations of great moral conflict.
“Whether they do it for material gains or other considerations, they never escape the consequences of their depravity. I hope you will reflect deeply on your actions and apologize to the people of Uganda.”
He added that NBS, by 11:00pn were saying that Museveni was leading by 63% from several districts as most citizens continued to wonder where the results were coming from.
The Electoral Commission declared Museveni the winner with 58% of the vote.
Kyagulanyi who is expected to run to court on Monday to contest for the results, says that these were the most ‘fraudulent election in our nation’s history.’
