Dr Besigye laid his hands on me and I got healed of the pain – Dr Stella Nyanzi

Dr Stella Nyanzi has confessed that she was hurt for not having made it to the 11th parliament in the just concluded general elections.

The vocal Makerere University scholar who was standing for the Kampala Woman Member of Parliament seat on the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) card lost to National Unity Platform’s Shamim Malende.

Stella confessed that after losing the election, nothing could bring her peace and comfort, not even her lovely children or good food, nor music and drinks, for the pain of the loss was unbearable.

The vocal “Nalongo” however decided to pay former FDC president and four time presidential candidate Dr. Kizza Besigye a visit to seek for comfort, counel and solace following the advice of a close friend.

According to Dr. Stella, Dr. Kizza Besigye welcomed them over to his house, prepared tea for them and talk with them for a good measure of time, discussing various topics but mainly about the struggle to liberate Uganda.

She adds that the good doctor encouraged, corrected, guided and shaved unexplainable amounts of wisdom with her.

She then asked him to lay hands on her as a sign of blessing which he gladly did and Dr. Stella admits that she felt relieved and healed after he lay his hands on her.

“I requested him to lay his hands on me, as a symbol of blessing. He granted my request. I got healed from the pain. I left his home feeling renewed and refreshed.”
