European Union envoys meet Bobi Wine

Representatives from the European Union met with former presidential candidate Hon Kyagulanyi Sentamu alias Bobi Wine at his home in Magere, Wakiso District yesterday February 4th, 2021.

The press and media were not allowed in the meeting although both sides addressed the media right after the meeting.

Bobi Wine appreciated the European Union for supporting Uganda’s efforts towards democracy and the fight for the greater respect for Human Rights.

“This morning we hosted the European Union delegation in Uganda. At the meeting, we appreciated the EU for supporting Uganda’s efforts towards democratization and the greater respect for human rights. We reiterated the position which we have maintained from the start that we are a non-violent political organization, but added that peace must as a necessity be accompanied by justice.”

Bobi Wine highlighted the fact that the National Unity Platform maintain their stand as a non-violent political organization although he conditioned that peace must as a necessity be accompanied by justice.
