Former DIGP Muzeyi Sabiiti appointed General Manager Luwero Industries

The President of Uganda and Commander in Chief of the Defense Forces, Gen Yoweri Museveni has appointed former Deputy Inspector of Police Maj Gen Muzeyi Sabiiti as the new General Manager of Luwero Industries.

The Luwero Industries Limited is a subsidiary of the National Enterprise Corporation (NEC) and is involved in manufacture and engineering to support Uganda and beyond.

Maj Gen Muzeyi will replace Brig Octavia Butuuro who has been redeployed as the Deputy Commandant Senior Command and Staff College Kimaka according to Brig Gen Flavia Byekwaso, the spokesperson of the Uganda People’s Defense FOrces UPDF).

Maj Gen Sabiiti was recalled to the Military Headquarters for redeployment during the Police and Military reshuffle by the president and was replaced by Maj Gen Paul Lokech as DIGP.

The facility is located 135km North of Kampala, 15km Northeast of Nakasongola town and 3km from Lake Kyoga with a liaison office at NEC Headquarters, Bugolobi-Kampala.

Their mission is to develop and strengthen Uganda’s capability for self-Sustenance in security and defense for national development, according to a statement on their website.
